The lyrics said "...Haunt me if you will, Baby haunt me if you can, Nothing that is ill, Will ever touch me I’ll be damned, Never leave the lights on, Your fear can be your friend... never leave the lights” We decided to base our concepts on this part of the lyrics. It was all about different types of fear. Being robbed or assaulted. Distracted by things that steal your time. Or having your heart ripped out in a heart break. Freedom reveals itself when you're ready to face fears, instead of hiding from them. Filip is standing by himself in loneliness. Around him, different threats reveal themselves. But no matter what tries to steal his attention, he can’t be bothered. He can’t be touched. He shows no fear for whatever comes at him. Fear is his friend. He’s ready to face it all. Coming 18th of August 2023.
In October 2022, Filip Magnusson reached out to me about making a music video for one of his songs from his upcoming album. We listened and went through the lyrics and it became clear that the film was about fear. We discussed things we both were afraid of and found uncomfortable, and started to conceptualize them. We had many ideas, and barely any budget. We decided that we were going to shoot the music video 10 days after we had landed the concept. We had no props, locations or talents, but Filip gathered friends, actors and models he knew in Stockholm to help us. The last scene where the girl arrives on a horse was supposed to be on a motorcycle, but then one of the cast members knew someone who lived in a castle with horses. And the motorcycle became a horse. The music video was shot in two days on two different locations in Stockholm.
